What time is check-in and checkout?
Normal check-in time is 3 PM and normal check-out is 12 PM. If you arrive prior to 3 PM, and we have a room available, we will check you in immediately. During very busy times, we are always happy to store your bags should your room not be available. Often, we can accommodate extensions to our checkout time, should your flight be leaving later in the day. To arrange other times please contact our Front Desk Office at 619.298.0511 x477.

How far is the hotel from the airport?
The Handlery Hotel and Resort is approximately 6 miles or approximately 10 minutes from the San Diego International Airport at Lindberg Field.

Do you have parking?
Yes, we have over 400 automobile spaces. For our Hotel guests, we can accommodate recreational vehicles if you're traveling across the state and staying with us for the evening.

Is there a charge for parking?
Our parking fee is currently $10.00 per day for registered overnight guests with unlimited in and out privileges. Day use for conference attendees may be available, but does not include in and out privileges. We can easily apply your parking costs to your guestroom or banquet account.

Do your rooms have cable TV and movies?
Yes, we have cable TV, a variety of in-room pay-per-view movies and Nintendo 64.

Do your rooms have refrigerators?
Yes, all of our rooms have mini refrigerators, for you to stock as you please.

Can I connect my laptop to the Internet from my guestroom?
Yes you can. We have high-speed wireless Internet access in all guestrooms.

Do you have a gift shop in the hotel?
Yes. Our Gift Shop has a complete assortment of local souvenirs, sporting apparel and an array of convenience items and is located right off the lobby.

Do you have a salon in the hotel?
Yes. We have an on-premise, full service salon, offering perms, tints, weaves & highlights. The hours vary, and appointments are strongly requested.

Is there shopping or dining near the hotel?
Yes. Fashion Valley Mall, San Diego's largest shopping complex, is just around our corner and there are many fine nightclubs, restaurants and activities within walking distance to the Hotel. Check out the San Diego Fun section on the site for a list of things to do.

Do you have someone who can make dinner reservations, get tickets for events, provide suggestions for activities etc?
Yes. Our staff is extremely skilled in answering all the questions you may have. In addition, there is a Premiere Ticketing Agency on the property. They sell tickets to concerts, sporting events, theater, special events, and more! For more information contact Premier Tickets at 619.295.7000.

Do you have activities for kids?
Yes. We have tons of activities for kids including poolside arcade games, and Nintendo Games in all the rooms.

Do you provide babysitting services?
Yes. We can recommend bonded babysitting services through our front desk. Babysitting rates vary per hour, depending on day of the week and number of children. Call the front desk at 619.298.0511 for rates and availability.

Is there a charge for the use of the Poolside Fitness Room?
No. The Fitness Center is free to all guests and is open from 6am - 11pm.

Our fully equipped fitness center offers a variety of treadmills, stationary & recumbent bikes, elliptical striding, rowing machines, Cross Trainer, stairmaster & Nautilus Equipment.
