What time is check-in and checkout?: Check-in time is 3 PM and check-out time is 12 PM. If you arrive prior to 3 PM, and we have your room available, we will check you in immediately. We will gladly store your bags should your room not be available. Late check-outs are based on availability. Please check with our Front Desk when you arrive or call 415.781.7800.
What number do I use to send a fax to a guest at the hotel?: The guest in-coming fax number is 415.781.0216. Guest faxes received by the Hotel will be kept at the front desk and we will leave a message in your guestroom indicating that you have received a fax.
How far is the hotel from the airport?: The Handlery Union Square Hotel is approximately 12 miles or 20 to 30 minutes from the San Francisco International Airport, 15 miles or 30 to 40 minutes from the Oakland Airport and 50 miles or 1 hour from the San Jose airport.

Do you have parking?: Yes, the Hotel has on-site covered valet parking with 24 hour in and out privileges.
Is there a charge for parking?: The discounted parking charge for Hotel guests is $38.00 plus tax per day for valet parking and includes free in and out privileges. Rates for oversized vehicles are an additional $9.00. Parking rates are subject to change without notice.
Do your rooms have cable TV and movies?: Yes, the Hotel has cable TV, including CNN, ESPN, MSNBC, TNT and a variety of in-room pay-per-view movies.
Do your rooms have refrigerators?: Yes, all of our hotel rooms have mini refrigerators.
Can I connect my laptop to the Internet from my guestroom?: Yes, the Hotel has high-speed wireless Internet access in all guestrooms as well as modems and data ports. Fee for access is $9.95 per day.
Do you have a gift shop in the hotel?: Yes, the Hotel gift shop offers an array of gifts, sundries and personal care items and is open daily for your convenience
Do you have a salon in the hotel?: Yes, the Hotel has an old-fashioned barbershop open Tuesday through Saturday. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 415-362-2337. We can also recommend numerous salons and day spas within easy walking distance from the hotel.
Is there shopping or dining near the hotel?: Yes, there are many fine stores, nightclubs and restaurants within walking distance of The Handlery Union Square Hotel. Macy’s, Saks and Tiffany are just steps away, with Bloomingdales and the Westfield Shopping Centre just three blocks. Do you have a Concierge?: Yes, our Concierge staff know everything there is to know about San Francisco and the surrounding area and can help make dinner reservations, get tickets for events or provide suggestions for activities. Do you have a fitness center?: The Handlery Hotel has an alliance with Club One Fitness located one and a half blocks from the Hotel to provide our guests with access to a full fitness facility. Discount passes can be purchased from the Concierge upon your arrival.
Do you have a pool?: Yes, the Hotel has one of the only outdoor heated pools in downtown San Francisco. A sauna is also available by appointment through our Concierge.
